may be both will have their own &#039;niche&#039; usecases (if i could dare calling email a &#039;niche&#039;!!). though it&#039;s possible build software that is all things to all people, the average user strongly identifies specific tools for specific purposes and contexts. 

it&#039;s perfectly possible to send someone a private message using twitter. but why would i do that?? i could send him an email, couldn&#039;t i?!</description>
