the helio store had that raaga collection. has bunch of dials that depicted indian mythology/history (think of murals on ajanta caves).

but i am slowly breaking into the watch. the leather is still rough, but i'm getting there.

well, there's a watch museum in geneva that will settle the question for you :)

It is the one piece of jewelry a man can wear (apart from the ring, ofcourse) tastefully in any environment. While I am no fan of gaudy 'I am money' type of watches, I am very much one of the understated elegance of an analog watch, preferably mechanical. All IMO, but there's a level of craftmanship that goes into making a fine mechanical watch, and wearing one is paying homage to everyone from Galileo to Antoni Patek.

I am a fan of the minimalist railway clock look of Mondaine, which also remains relatively inexpensive. Same for Swiss Army. Good enough for me.

Must be middle age, but I am beginning to appreciate the solid look of the old HMT watches compared to the titan/timex bunch.

There used to be set of old Titan watches (Raaaga) with traditional Indian motifs on them. Only for women, but used to think there were so uniquely Indian and elegant. Seem to have taken them off the product line.
