went to the doctor for a itchy/sore throat with caugh, fever and body aches. plus a chronic stomach bloating.
this is about 12 hrs after the symptoms started showing. he barely looked down my troat (with flashlight 2 ft away), and checked for rashes.
no more discussion – and then came the prescription.
- levorid-d : relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, rhinorrhoea, nasal congestion, itching and lacrimation.
- residip: painkiller, fever reducer (inferring from the paracetamol)
- Pantosec : blocks the production of stomach acid
- Azithromycin : antibiotic
- Zebifort : vitamins
very typical, least count for a concoction is about 5 drugs if you ever go to a doctor. by the way this was at a resonably repued Apollo Clinic in Koramangala. at Rs.175 for consultation and Rs. 250 for the prescription medicines, i wonder if i got the right diagnosis.
and in general, the quality of care at Apollo Clinics sux. any alternatives in Koramangala? (by the way the Care-Cure hospital is closed whenever i attempt to go there).
