Valley Chai

i live in an apartment block called Embassy Tranquil, which is one of those places where companies house their expats on the cheap. so here’s a short incident, per my wife – she’s gone to the neighbor’s apartment to hook them up with a maid-servant.

knock-knock (on the neighbor’s door).
– a man opens the door.

she: hi i’m lavanya, your neighbor, need to chat with your wife.

he: hi i am ganesh.
– she is perplexed. you don’t like like a ganesh to me.

he: that’s my indian name.
– he was korean
