hunting for an apartment a necessary evil - but we finally found a flat we could be happy with.

before we left for bangalore, my wife planned the hell out of ensuring that we have a flat to arrive at as soon as we landed. she found an apartment in the Raheja Residency in the heart of Koramangala area through some friends and family - but it turns out, the apartment is totally not ready when we landed. so we ended house-less, piling on my borthers’ apartment. it ain’t pretty - 8 large suitcases, 3 adults and 2 kids later, the home gets cramped quickly.

so i responded to a few listings on 99acres and magicbricks, and immediately get calls from about 4 agents. interestingly, if a flat shows as ‘available’ on these sites, it doesn’t mean that they are in fact are. these sites are nothing but lead-generation tools for the agents. you almost never get contacted by the actual home owners.

the agent typically will ask you what your budget is, and the service level totally depends on the range. the higher, the more personalized service, and the harder he clings on to you. the agent takes you around a few flats.. get ready with some patience a snack and a comfy car for the day. there are some stunning apartments around koramangala and indiranagar areas.

we finally settled on the embassy tranquil property.
